Karl is an insomniac who struggles to sleep and goes on walks at night to try and kill time, watching the sun rise and sleeping through the day. It’s a normal routine for him. But one night as he is sitting at a diner, he meets Synthia, an unknown girl who tells him a story that relates to Karls life except it has no ending. She walks out of the diner paying for her meal and disappears into the night. Karl becomes obsessed by the ending, trying to figure out who she was and ways to contact her. 

His life becomes a waking nightmare as he constantly sees her everywhere but she is just out of reach.
